Forum Title: What caulk to use in cold weather?
I am installing new construction anderson windows in the lower floor of my home. The window opening is in a block wall with brick front. I am ripping everything out and installing pressure treated 2x. My plan is to install the new construction windows, and cover from the window to the brick with Azek. My question is what caulk to use around the brick to azek, and from azek to window? I live in New Jersey, and it looks like we will have freezing temperatures for the foreseeable future. Any help would be greatly appreciated......

Dick, welcome to the forums! You may well spend over $10K just getting each one certified by a licensed entity. I doubt, unless you are a crackerjack window builder, that home made windows would pass such scrutiny.

One more question....Will making the azek lay flat over the nailing flange be a problem? Is this a good alternative to aluminum flashing? (no overlap with azek) Thanks again!!
